Dimensions? - Door handles

The distance between my storm door and my inside door lock, which is exactly at the same level as the storm door's doorknob, is just under 2". I took a chance because it looked like it as if it would work but wasn't 100% sure no sizing. To tell the truth such items do need to be resized.Fortunately this can be returned.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine

Broken screws leave a useless product - you get what you pay for

Thought I got a good discount on a product that was really hard to spoil. I was wrong because the quality of the screws was terrible. Both handle screws broke while tightening them, leaving me with a useless product and a trip to Home Depot. Save time and spend a little more for a quality pen.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

Does the job

Very cheap handle Fairly easy to install if the door is already pre-drilled, otherwise you'll need a drill and 1/4" bit to install the handle. Easy to mount on doors with pre-drilled grilles. On the other hand, there is no assembly/drilling template. The ban is the minimum deterrent, it works, but against what, the June bug? Otherwise good mesh door handle, I would buy again

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Some cons

Great replacement for old storm doors, very well made.

Almost identical to the original on my 50 year old storm door. The holes in my door didn't line up perfectly with the latch and needed some adjustment, but I expected this given the age of my door. Much sturdier than the ugly one I bought at the local hardware store for the same price, it literally fell apart in my hand after a week. This one has held up extremely well over the past few months and will hopefully last as long as the original.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • unreliable

Screws cut in half

The product was the exact replacement for my doorknob. Unfortunately the quality was absolute crap. The handle itself doesn't appear to be metal, and when screwing in the "metal" screws holding the knot together, they literally snapped in half, making it impossible to pull them out. The cost savings for these screws was supposed to be $0.01, but the $13 product became a waste of money and time. Be proud of what you do, it's so sad.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Minor repairability

I bought this because it looked exactly like the handle we had on our storm door that broke recently, only to find the holes in the screen door weren't where they were it fits. Absolutely not the manufacturer's fault and I certainly could have drilled new holes to make it work but I ended up not being able to test the function but I think it's easy to do, it's easy. The material felt a bit cheap and light, the grip I originally had is obviously metal and heavy and this one is significantlyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Multiple competitors
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Broke after 4 days - actually it doesn't seem

Looks good, easy to assemble. The mechanism broke immediately. One star.โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”Edit: I ordered a replacement from a different brand and it failed after only a few turns. It turns out that something is broken, but in fact the rod connecting the inner and outer parts is too short. Seems to fit, but after a few hits of the screen door it works fully and no longer connects the inner arm to the outer handle (where the return spring is located). Fixed by pinching the paper on both sides to keep the tipโ€ฆ

Pros
  • a practical thing
Cons
  • So far so good
