Item Not Working - Hardware

I received this item today and wanted to install it but it doesn't work. The piece of plastic that is meant to be dented when the shower door is closed won't dent unless you push in with your fingers. It's not worth my time to return it, so it's not worth shooting.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Update Available

Small piece/price with HUGE results

This item was the PERFECT solution for us. I'm so glad I stumbled across this. We needed to fix a missing latch in the main shower room in our new home. It comes with screws and was very easy to install. Keeping the door closed while showering works great for us and it opens easily/correctly.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

My shower door seems to be well designed.

The latch on the shower door was worn out so I had to replace it. It took some effort to figure out what to use and how to attach it. This door latch fits my shower door quite well, but I had to put washers under the screw heads when attaching. Otherwise, the screws on the other side would stick out too far and prevent the door from closing.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Minor issues

Plastic pen insert

That would be 5 stars if the plastic insert weren't so sticky. I added some plastic lube and lube which improved it. I also had to tweak the setting so it wouldn't get stuck. If it was set too close to the post, the insert would push too far and get stuck every time. Stainless steel is very light. It was a renovation of an old glass shower door.

Might not be a perfect plug and play

Arrived for installation and the screws did not match the rails (for lack of a better word). Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the product was out of shape. Right angles were obtuse, resulting in this product not fitting right out of the box. I bent a little with pliers, 15 seconds work, it fit perfectly. Installed and working. This product is doomed, but the latch that was on it was impossible to salvage.

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • security

The nylon clasp is stuck.

Nylon clasp sticks and stays in stainless steel case. The latch turned, causing the spring to fail. To get it to work I had to take apart and straighten the metal case behind the spring. The case had a slight slope, and the edge holding the nib allowed the nib to shift. It pulled it in, but I've had to manually release the latch once since. The price for this simple device was low, but so was the craftsmanship.

Pros
  • Superb design
Cons
  • Fits
