Not for inward opening doors.

The product and description states that it is designed for both inward and outward opening doors but there is no way to attach it to a door frame or inward opening door and either the door will not close or it serves no appropriate purpose to the door itself. . Of course I would like the "enclosed simple instructions" to actually be included. There are no instructions at all.

Don't be fooled by cheap screws, buy some good screws before you start this project.

The latch guard plate was easy enough to install if there was enough space between the door and the jamb, otherwise you'll have to hammer some wood into the door to clear space so you can close the door Door. The only thing I didn't like was that the screws were crap. The heads spin as you screw them in, so hope you have extra screws lying around or buy them along.

Works great

This is a handy latch for doors where there is little space between the door and frame and will lock open latches as intended. It's aluminum so I'm sure a well-armed thief will have an easier time cutting it off than some, but if someone with power tools etc... and it will slow them down. But for mediocre traders who are smashing and capturing traders, they may well be thinking about going elsewhere.
