🍵 Premium Primula Tea Kettle: Stainless Steel, 3-Quart, Soft Grip Silicone Handle Review

The stain remover lever on this kettle stopped working after 1 week. I was able to fix it enough to be usable with crazy glue. A year later, the inner bottom of the pot rusts and is no longer drinkable. It's a complete piece of junk and clearly not stainless steel given the amount of rust in it. Do not buy this kettle!

Unlined with a painted finish which unbeknownst to me fell apart in my last kettle. I drank chips. Very efficient water heating and whistle volume just right. The water pours out without drips or splashes of hot water like some people experience. The handle stays cool and comfortable, and the trigger to open the spout is in a convenient position.

This kettle was listed as a 4 Quarter kettle. We bought this to replace our REAL 4 liter kettle which was falling apart. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't have a four-quarter capacity. This was EXTREMELY disappointing as we make sweet tea every day and have a set 'formula' for the ratio of tea, sugar and water and this thing doesn't work for that. We have since restored our old kettle and donated this kettle to a thrift store.

Such a beautiful teapot. It decorates my small kitchen. It has weight and is well built. The whistle is perfect. When the water boils, the whistle is quite loud, but not shrill. If you're not striving for it, it gets louder, so there's no chance of not hearing it. The handle is durable and feels very cool. I like the red patina. You will not regret this purchase. I love the color and shine of this teapot. The review clearly states that it has a low whistle, but I found it started out soft and got louder. The problem is that the black rubber grip on the handle is riveted to the metal part and not secured. It cannot be tightened and could become an even bigger problem in the future or fall off. This may be a defect with this particular kettle as I have not read about this issue in any other review. If not, love it.

This kettle is beautiful. It's sleek, shiny, and has the right proportions. Works like a kettle. Unfortunately, over time, the rubber inserts that line the grip and lever lose their grip and begin to slip. I've had several accidents where the rubber band has almost completely detached from the lever, exposing my fingers to the hot metal. We use this kettle and love the color and design. Works well, heats up like any other kettle I've used. I like the deep red color as it gives a great color on my stovetop. The whistle isn't as loud as I expected, but I think that's because the top cap lets some of the vapor through, which in turn doesn't create much pressure to keep the whistle as loud as possible. . I have contacted the seller, Fusion Imports, for a refund or replacement. Will report how it goes. I was looking for a well designed but good value kettle. My last one was great until I let it dry for about half an hour, oops. But this one looked very promising. A hole large enough for a person to put their hand through to clean the kettle and whistle. A must have for me as I often go back to work while the water is heating up.
