Pleasantly surprised.

I ordered this tool after spending two hours removing TWO completely stripped screws from my new storm door. Needless to say, despite all the "tips" I found online on how to remove them, nothing helped. I ordered this in HOPE it would work the way others said it did. I couldn't be more impressed! It worked great! It didn't take much muscle power to remove them either. This is a MUST have tool that everyone should have on hand. I definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Good but not great

Perfection! in pliers

I broke a screw while assembling an Ikea table. The screw wouldn't move and I was afraid of losing the screw (or damaging the table) to further damage it with another screw removal method. These vampires worked perfectly and instantly! I couldn't believe it. It was very tight to the tiny but edge of the screw on the left and I just turned the screw to the left and it came out so easily. I used vampliers to remove another screw that was stripped around the edge (yes, I used a drill to assemble…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some flaws

I was thrilled when I first tried them and thought I'd buy a few sets as Christmas gifts . . They absolutely do the job - first and foremost. Although they are very effective when new, the steel is too soft for them. Mine are completely worn out in just a few weeks and aren't used very much - a handful of #8 screws in the wood (with quite a bit of rot) so this is hardly a worst case scenario. I contacted Vampire Tools, they were very quick and responsive and they said they would send a…

Fixed headache for 6 hours. Good to have for computers

To be honest I didn't think it would help with the problematic M2 SSD socket screw in my computer's motherboard. We have about 100 screwdrivers at home but they all seem to suck or the screw was of poor quality originally. I spent 6 hours trying different ways to loosen the screw to fit my new M2 SSD but I couldn't even get it loose. The head of the screw is worn out and since computer parts are expensive I didn't want to risk using a drill there to unscrew and damage such a small screw. These…

Best $30 I've ever spent

I bought a ceiling fan/light fixture with screws pre-installed; To build a fan, you unscrew them and screw them back on. Actually not a bad idea, except for a pressure screw (with a plus head). I have tried different sizes of Phillips screwdrivers by hand and with a drill and have done the same with flat head bits. I only managed to keep turning the screw and screaming more and more exclusively unfeminine curses. The rubber band technique didn't work. I didn't want to drill and remove it…

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Good: Well made and of high quality. The hinge has no tilt, and the spring assist makes it easy to repeatedly grab objects. The finish of all surfaces is excellent, the edges are not sharp. The blades of the cutting part close tightly, are sharp and also cut thin wire. Ribbed gripping surfaces grip and hold objects well without slipping. Cons: While I really like spring-loaded pliers while in use, it's nice to be able to store them in the closed position. Many tongs, like my Milwaukee, have a…

Unbelievable! Just unbelievable!

Failed to load media. I was in a dead end! I managed to rip off the head of the screw as he was driving it into the litter box's metal rail. I spent a good week trying to get this screw out. This included the infamous rubber band trick, where you insert a rubber band into the head of a screw to create grip points. It did not work. My last effort was to buy these pliers. I've uploaded a video showing exactly how it works on the very first try. I wanted to capture the experience on video because…

Pros
  • Power tools and hand tools
Cons
  • Some errors

I order from Revain all the time and this is one of the few times I have left a review as I have been very impressed with this product. My wife ordered a new dryer last weekend and the door opened again and the units had to be replaced. I did almost everything but not a single bolt moved when Godzilla or one of his relatives apparently tightened it and this stopped my entire flow. I tried my best to loosen the screw with good quality screwdrivers, but I just rounded off all the threads on the…
