Find out the size of your steering wheel!

I did not think that such a big difference in the size of the steering wheel. Aerobars are useless on my bike. I unwrapped them so I wouldn't have $91. I won't be ordering anything like this online again.

Pros
  • weight
Cons
  • boring packaging

comfortable and durable

The second set I bought. I've been riding for centuries, it gives me a different position. In the last 5 years, pad design has improved. You are strong. I hope that the springs in the armrest will last longer with this set.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Everything is fine

this is new and improved

I have been using profiled drop bars for years and have broken many of the springs as well as the hinge body and levers. This one feels more solid and the spring force is higher so it doesn't rattle as much as my old ones in the up position.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • There are problems

Check the armrest pivot pin locking clips

Mine came without a retaining clip on the left side armrest pivot pin. The end groove of this pin did not have enough clearance from the armrest to install the E-Retaining Clip. One was installed on the right side. I had to use Gorilla Glue to fix this problem.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Unsure

I like these: Cycling

Bought these because my hands get numb after 25 miles. Switching the position of the hands stopped working, I had to try other options. Bought because they are wide and springy or for the stems when not in use. I had to get used to riding them, but I handle my bike well on them. Recommend them after a few seasons.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Easy to repair

Good design, mediocre performance.

Very adjustable aero handlebar, many hand positions available. Glad I can still use the top of the handlebars when cruising/climbing. I mostly ride 100-200 miles on big mountains and bumpy gravel roads in CO, and unfortunately these handlebars rumble like crazy when in the "up" position on anything other than smooth pavement. I like the bars themselves but need to find a solution to minimize the rattling.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • old

Good choice for crowded bars

I have flat handlebars on my road bike. This creates a lot of "bitsโ€ on the bar. I have shifters on both sides, handbrake levers on both sides, and all of this limits the space available to install aero bars, which wouldn't be an issue if using drop bars. These aero bars are a great choice as the armrests fold down and tuck away when not in use giving me easy access to my shifters that a fixed stop design would block. There are many adjustments. It takes a little getting used to, like any aeroโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • So-so

Smooth in a sweat

I bought a pair of these bars less than a decade ago and love them. I decided to put a pair on the new bike because traditional handlebars with fixed armrests don't allow me access to the handlebars. The problem I discovered while riding in the humid heat yesterday is that the armrests don't breathe or absorb sweat like other aero bars. This made them slippery and felt unsafe. I only use them to give my arms a rest and protection from high winds, but I couldn't stay aero for long because Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good to use
