Pretty decent ball head with one big defect

My favorite is the ball head, it's sturdy. The friction on the large main handle is amazing, allowing the head to be moved as needed, even with my large DSLR rig and 600mm lens. The problem I'm having is with the little knob that should allow me to rotate the ball head 360 degrees and I should be able to use the little control knob to rotate it as needed but by myself after full rotation to lose, I see that the rotation is very slow. I'm a nature photographer and because of the slow rotation I…

Broke on second use

After reading all the positive reviews a few months ago I bought the RT90C and RT85C tripods. Both tripods themselves are surprisingly strong for the price, although the weight of both becomes an issue on long hikes. The reason this tripod head got a star is because the head got stuck in the open position even after the first use. Although it can be closed, it is now completely unusable because the head does not close directly when closed and therefore cannot hold camera equipment securely. I…

Expert Review: Best Camera and Photo

This ball head lacks the key feature that many heads have, which is a separate cocking knob. I didn't even reset the score because I don't care about that feature. With this head you can loosen it a bit and align the camera without falling off. You do not need this function. I have a large collection of ball heads including Really Right Stuff and Arca Swiss. I've moved my best minds from tripods to camera tripods to arrows and other slider setups. Heads can be painful to move if overtightened…

Innorel N44 is an excellent ball head, highly recommend

Both the Innorel N52 and N44 have been tested and rated very high in TheCenterColumn.com ball head rankings. They are better than many ball heads that are many times more expensive than them. So it's a bargain. The N44 is fairly light but still delivers great performance. I also own several other high quality (and more expensive) ball heads including the Sirui K-30X, Kirk BH-1 and Leofoto LH-40. Compared to these ball heads, the Innorel N44 doesn't have that silky smooth movement, but it still…

Quality product in work and material

I do not pretend to be an expert on ball heads. But what can I say, this INNOREL N52 tripod head is the best I've ever had. I have Manfrotto and Vanguard ball heads. I shoot a lot of portraits in both landscape and portrait orientations so the ball head will get a lot of use. I really like Manfrotto, but I just needed a third option for constant use in the studio. I took a risk because of the positive reviews of INNOREL products. The presentation of this product was good with a carrying case…

Decent ball head - long delivery time - small grip area

For the price it looked like a decent ball head and especially when it was the advertised weight - it wasn't. I wanted to create the perfect travel tripod that suits my interests. The tripod I chose had a ball head that accounted for almost a third of the tripod's weight. This one was lighter and looked like a superior design. It's lighter but has a few design flaws. The clip includes a spirit level that closes completely when you have a camera installed. Most of the best ball heads have this…
