The Chevy B-Body had drum brakes from 1977-93 - disc brakes were introduced to the platform in 1994, but GM kept same brake proportioning valve, and as a result the rear brakes are greatly underutilized on the Impala SS and Caprice. Proforged's Stealth Brake Bolt Kit changes the brake bias from an estimated 95% front / 5% rear to 65% front / 5% rear. MUCH BETTER BRAKES

Significant difference. The pedal is up and the reduced nose dive is great and better than buying a larger Andria Doria anchor to stop it. These cars are boats! Ignore the "engineering" babble on various sites, it works great

Should have done this 25 years ago!

Easy to install and works exactly as advertised. I just don't know why I didn't make this modification 25 years ago. The brakes are much better balanced. The car is leveled when braking, roll is reduced. And they feel much more reactive and powerful.

If your car is rusting like mine, plan on replacing the rear brake line.

A must have for any Impala SS 94-96 or 9C1 with disc brakes. If your car is suffering from a rusty belt like mine, plan on replacing the rear brake lines as pressure changes can cause them to fail like mine did. But the product is not to blame.

Well made, easy to install, make sure you have a 19mm short head for the rear screw.

These screws are well made and easy to install on a 96 SS Impala. Make sure you have a short (1" long or less) 19mm head for the rear bolt as the clearance between the bolt and the brake booster. a little tight. Please note that after this work the brakes must be bled, I used about a liter.

The difference is like night and day

Years after converting my rear brakes from drum to disc, I finally decided to install this mod on my 1994 Caprice Wagon. The difference is like day and night. I used to be afraid of my brakes, but now the feeling is so good that it doesn't bother me anymore. Even if you brake hard, the locking will no longer occur as before.
