ProForm 66181 TH350 Locking Dipstick and Tube: Reliable and Convenient Transmission Solution Review

It's good but maybe a little heavier, the bracket is too thin but that's ok, the gasket is hard to hit but I found a trick, install it the rubber grommet halfway then insert the hose and press firmly it's a tight seal so some force is required but you don't want leaks and I haven't had any, overall pretty good.

Quality is ok, I have an 81 c10 with lots of space under the hood and I had to bend the pipe to fit and it sits very close to my valve cover. I have previously purchased a Specter inflation hose "that has leaked" but it has fitted perfectly. But that dipstick tube stopped my leak so I'm giving it a 4.

Good quality probe and tube. I had the same problem as others where the bracket didn't line up with the mounting hole on the gearbox. I used a long bolt to bend the bracket into position while making sure the tube was in the right place. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

Not the best fit or overall quality. The application is an SBC 400 with a TH350. Misaligned, ended up not aligning with the same hole in the block that the factory dipstick went in, there is a kink in the tube where it bends through the mounting tab, and the mounting tab had to be adjusted and slid into place, like that that I could secure it in place. Overall I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with this combo.

I used this to replace a broken capless dipstick from the 1970's on a Chevy pickup. All I needed was the probe itself, but I couldn't find one the right length so I bought it as a kit. However, the mounting tab is designed to attach to another flare bolt on my 350 V-8 that is higher up and very close to the firewall.
