I was skeptical about ordering this coffee pot but glad I did. That first coffee pot wasn't very hot, but the second was and has been ever since. I like that the heating pad lasts 40 minutes. or so. Along with the vacuum jug, it helps keep my coffee hot for hours. In my old (heated) coffee pot, the coffee would be cold and I would have to warm it up in the microwave. I use it as a tea press and it's perfect for that; so much so that i bought a second one and it has replaced all my other kettles and brewing tools. The glass handle and lack of plastic are hard to find and give it a premium look. I see a few comments about the likes/dislikes of the silicone base.
