Springs for Intruder 1400

I have been using Progressive products on all my bikes for years with great results. These fork springs improve handling and reduce brake sag.

1998 Suzuki Intruder VS1400 Progressive Fork Spring Upgrade

These springs were a definite improvement over my stock kit in my 1998 Suzuki Intruder VS1400 with 25,000 miles. The forks are taut and vibrations caused by bumps are greatly reduced. Installation wasn't a problem either. If you have springs in stock, invest in them - you won't be disappointed.

Best $100 I Spent On My Bike

I don't even know where to begin. The perfect ride is the best I can describe. I have a Honda CB650SC Nighthawk and the front springs were completely removed after 25,000 + 33 years. These feathers create a very different feeling for the old lady. I used a 1.25" spacer made from 3/4" 40 PVC pipe in case anyone is interested. Contact me for a consultation if needed.

A major redesign of the 1985 Honda Magna 700.

Absolutely amazing difference. The pictures show which source is steeper. The damping has changed a lot, I can no longer squeeze the forks due to bumps and heavy braking. It's good for me because sometimes I ride my bike. However, I am a little disappointed that I have to shorten my stock spacers. Luckily I have the tools to cut, debur and bevel them so they don't look like some sort of hack. PVC could have been avoided if needed, but I decided to downsize my factory. The instructions on how to

In my case there are no special improvements

No problem, go to install. Only new spacers with preload have to be made or the original ones have to be shortened. Apart from the two new springs, no other parts are included in this kit, although photos on Progressive Suspension's website show washers and a few other items. nothing has changed compared to my standard springs. I did notice a slight improvement in cornering, but sudden high-speed bumps (like potholes and corners in the pavement) felt about the same. No notable improvements…
