Not as good as I hoped

I ordered 75W first. Didn't get hot enough for my tank. Then I ordered 100W to get more heat out. It works at the same temperature as 75W! Doesn't get any hotter than the lower wattage option!

The best heat source I have ever used on my beard!

I prefer this heat source to ceramic because ceramic gets too hot. If you let the ceramic cool before removing it, you can damage the ceramic piece. This bulb doesn't get that hot but gives off constant heat.

Perfect fit for leopard gecko

I bought this to use on my leopard gecko and it works great. One thing to note is that in my case it gives off a slight burnt smell, but I've been told this should go away over time. There is enough heat in my 36x18x18 terrarium. Would buy again.

Makes an annoying noise

I set up this thermostat for my leopard gecko and every time I hear it turn on it makes a loud clicking or metallic noise for a while. It heats well, but for the price, it's not worth buying an extra $3 Arcadia bulb that lasts 5 years.

Stop crackling

The first one I bought made a ticking and crackling noise so I sent it back and got a replacement which was fine - no crackling. It's in a cage mount, which I scaled down to fit closer to the top screen. Provides excellent and even heat connected to a thermostat for my leopard gecko.

Satisfied so far! Time will tell.

Super satisfied so far. Provides much healthier warmth for your snake 🐍 than CHE or heat mat with more energy efficiency and no visible light. I haven't had time to rate durability yet, but I've read that these DHPs last about 1.5 years with an on/off thermostat and 3 years with a rheostat (dimming thermostat).

- When I originally reviewed this item the price was fair as it is an unnamed brand so it should cost a lot less than tried and true well known brands. Now that it received a few positive reviews, they decided to raise the price to the level of a well-known brand. If you're willing to pay that much for a thermal imaging projector, I recommend Arcadia with a proven track record of quality products. I have many reptiles and use different heating methods. I'm always looking for different heating…
