Description of 🔥 Heat Cable for Pipe Freeze Protection: 30 Feet with Built-in Thermostat, High-Temp Installation Tape, Heavy-Duty & Self-Regulating - 120 Volt

THIS CABLE WILL NOT TURN ON UNLESS IT IS IN A COLD ENVIRONMENT. We’ve received a couple bad reviews from people testing the cables in their living rooms. Please don’t be that guy. TAPE INCLUDED: 16 feet of high-temperature glass cloth tape is included with this cable. HEAVY DUTY: Integrated thermostat turns cable on at 37 degrees, off at 50 degrees, greatly reducing energy waste. Cable is 8mm wide and includes a 24” unheated cord (add to stated cable length). Cable has commercial-grade outer jacket for long life and carries a FOUR YEAR WARRANTY, which is double the warranty of similar cables on Amazon. Will not short or burn out if cable is overlapped. USES: Use on the inside or outside of all types of water carrying pipe including copper, steel, PVC, ABS, PEX, concrete and more; can be exposed directly to water and is rated for soil contact.

This seems to be the solution to our problem.

All the tests I tried worked for me including using an ice cube to activate the thermostat after attaching it to the split drain pipe. I was glad I actually spoke to the president of this company when I called to ask if their product would work for me in the sewer and how versatile it is. We live in western Kansas and the drain shown in the photo is actually dug into the soft sandstone. When it drops to 15º it starts to freeze and completely closes this drain. After meeting Steve (company…

I like this product and the assembly instructions, except for the general lack of an operating manual for the thermostat. Point 1.7.4 says plug in the cable and it should feel hot. It won't work if you don't put an ice cube on the thermostat for a few minutes. Additionally, the last sentence of paragraph 2.1 states that the pipe should be warm after the switch is installed and turned on, but will not function again until the thermostat is cooled below 37F. Paragraph 1.4.16 states that the…

good product for pipe, fittings and accessories

I did a lot of research on heating cables and the products of the various companies that make them before I bought them from Radiant Solutions. One of the factors that influenced my decision was that I was able to call and speak to someone from the company to answer some of the technical questions I had prior to the purchase. It made a big difference. This gave me more confidence in the product. Heated cable is not an easy product to quickly test and describe its effectiveness as you have to…
