I needed a cheap case for my Apple TV remote, I had one that fell apart after a year of heavy use. The Apple TV remote is quite weak and at night when we operate the remote, it's hard to see the top/bottom of the remote and both ends feel the same. This trolley helps secure the remote and helps me identify the top/bottom of the remote.

Overall I like this remote case. The device is easier to hold and use. Especially since I have big hands and kept dropping the remote control. This is my second case for my second AppleTV system. It was embarrassing that there was no lace in the box. I had to find a way to put it on the body. It wasn't difficult, but it would have been a lot more convenient if it had been attached beforehand.

I never knew how expensive these remotes were until I saw a similar casing on a friend's remote and asked him why he had one. I bought it the same day and so far it's been great! It no longer slides across our coffee table and if/when we drop it (onto the wooden floor) it no longer makes a big banging noise. We like to watch movies/shows without the lights on and I love that the black keeps the distance well hidden rather than being a crazy bright color. GET ONE!

If you have an Apple remote, you should definitely buy it. Although I'm an Apple fan, sometimes they scrap design in favor of minimalist design over functionality. The remote control is like a slippery bar of soap that cannot fall off during use. I can't tell you how many times I've picked it up and pointed it the wrong way on my TV. This case solved all quirks. Fits tight, no gaps. The rubberized grip is excellent and now I can tell which part of the remote is in front by touching it.

If you have a new Apple TV with a confusing remote, you NEED this cover. I can't tell you how many times I've taken control backwards. I don't know who came up with the idiotic idea of putting 6 almost identically shaped buttons in the middle of a sleek glass remote, but it's confusing. With this case, you can slip on the included strap (instead of buying a $13 strap from Apple) and see at a glance which direction the remote is facing. From all the reviews and my experience they seem to have quality control issues. I originally ordered 2 cases for each of my Apple TVs. One of them fits well, but the other is too tight on the top and keeps the main SELECT button half-pressed, eliminating tactile feedback when trying to click it. There are two, both fit. A small mod had to work. The AppleTV remote is a very sensitive device no matter how you use it. When you add this slipcover, it's less likely to slip out of your hands, slide off your armrest, slide off your bed sheet behind your headboard (trust me, it's gotten lost behind the bed more than once).
