It feels cheap, low power consumption on the USB ports

It all seems cheap and intangible. It connected to our WiFi and then to Alexa with no problems, but the USB ports are low-power. When I connected my tablet and phone to them I was warned that it would charge slowly and that I should use the charger that came with the device. I quickly realized that watching videos with a connected tablet couldn't keep up with the power consumption. So I pulled out the power converters for my devices and plugged them into the standard extension cord plugs. Of…

Great Power Strip!: Power Strips & Surge Protectors

This item is perfect! I only have one outside socket on the balcony and 4 pieces to connect. Alexa Dot plug on top, Alexa extension on bottom. Now I don't have to plug and unplug everything to fit everything, I now plug in the fairy lights, fan and patio fountain separately so I don't use my lights during the day. I can even turn off my entire patio in the house if I forget to go inside! Since I bought it on sale on the best day for $15, it was worth it! I would buy it at full price now that…

  • Large Selection

COMPLETE DISEASE in setup, but after setup it works just fine.

This item is ONLY compatible with certain wireless routers. The syncing process is not easy and your Wi-Fi device may not be compatible. I have a high-end Xfinity WiFi device and it's not compatible. However, I have another Google WiFi router to extend the signal to the back of my house and THIS is compatible. I still can't connect it to Alexa, Google Home or whatever, but I don't really care about that feature. Once connected, it works well and is quite comfortable. You download the app to…

  • The best in its niche

Same app, different look

I use the Smart Life app, not Alexa, so I can't comment on the Alexa integration. My only complaint is that this extension's UI looks different than my other extension's UI for some reason. Both are controlled by the same app, but they look different and it's not possible to change the look in the app. FWIW, I think this UI looks better than the other UI, but the other one is a bit easier to use. EDIT: OK, that's weird. I bought a second "Jagala" extension cord to replace a deceased one from…

Power adapter and cord get VERY HOT

Instructions require some work but I finally figured out how to work with them. Luckily I only have one element plugged in at the moment because when all the switches are on it gets VERY, VERY HOT. I made sure the extension cord wasn't laying on the carpet or touching any fabric to avoid catching fire. With hope. I don't drive it when I'm away. You must turn off all switches when you first plug it in (including USB) or they will stay on. There is also a blue light ring for the POWER button.…

  • Easy to use

Nice remote switch with Google and Alexa support via Smart Life

Works well but is a bit noisy when turning the relays on or off. never mind There's a single power button on the front for all-on or all-off mode, and to control individual ports on the switch you'll need to use the Smart Life (or Tuya) app or manage it with Alexa. I like it dark in my bedroom, so the light blue LED ring around the power button on the front is obscured. There is an LED for each port that tells you which output is on. I don't think Alexa will tell you which ones are enabled, but

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Lots of things
