Good hook but rough grip

I hold my hook like a knife and I love every feature of the hook except one. PRO: Nice long neck and grip. Acrylic and wool threads slide easily down the throat. Very nice pointed tip for maneuvering in stitches. CONS: The matte satin handle is very rough and rubs against my palm. A burning sensation remained immediately after 3 minutes of application. Not sure what's rubbing against my skin: size markings or white plastic peeking out from underneath. I have somewhat sensitive skin and will…

ok not so good

I understand why some people really like these hooks but I have some complaints about how excited they are. The advantages of this hook set are that they are light weight and quite comfortable and offer an alternative to Susan Bates' built in hooks - something I've actually had a hard time finding. Not to mention that they are very beautiful. The downsides for me are that it doesn't slide as expected, it creaks with every pass, and it's generally just a set of plastic hooks. They seem sturdy…

Very convenient and beautiful hook set!

I'm new to the crochet world. As a nurse, I've been trying to find something to relieve stress during all this pandemic craziness. Started learning in the fall of 2020 by watching a lot of YouTube videos. There are many great teachers out there who spend their time creating great content for newbies like me.
