Before buying, I recommend looking at the dimensions, the length of the rods themselves, so that everything will fit exactly as planned. Different pros: Comfortable and flexible pantograph. Heavy Shure sm7b holds perfectly, the microphone moves gently and is fixed in space. With the light Shure sm58, everything is much worse - the stand does not walk so pleasantly softly and everything strives to soar up (it has powerful springs that lay it out in an extended position without load), so a heavy microphone is needed for normal operation But there is a small problem with Shure sm7b - when the microphone is rotated around its axis, the thick XLR wire plug rests against the shiny lamb

This phenomenal mic stand is worth every penny in my opinion. Is it on the expensive side? Of course. But this is definitely a premium product with a premium build. I use the Blue Yeti microphone and it wasn't difficult for me to install it. The Blue Yeti does not fit the standard mount, you must use the included adapter to screw on the microphone. It's amazing they included this part for your convenience. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about when they say they can't use this

I bought this to replace a cheap $15 mic boom I've been using for a while. Replacing it with this one was like night and day. The RODE PSA1 is an amazing microphone arm, it's (mostly) quiet, durable and has a fantastic range of motion. But not without flaws. For starters, after about 6 months, there was a creaking when the arm was moved forward/backward. This was solved by applying a few drops of oil to the spring bore.
