🖌️ Purdy Jumbo Mini Parrot Roller Replacements, 2-Pack, 4.5" x 0.25" nap Review

I used these rollers in an Ikea dresser painting project. I took the time to sand and paint the dresser and when it came to adding color I used these rollers. However, they throw their blue hair right into the paint as I rolled. I've tried picking out the biggest clumps but I still see a lot of hair in the final product. Definitely a bummer considering how much I put into the rest of the project. Can't recommend it and won't be using it again :(

My first spontaneous assessment was that they fall off. you shed. I was so angry. I thought some of my dog's hair got into the paint or onto the roller. I wiped the roller which was a mistake. It was mohair from a roll. I was very upset but decided to leave the first layer on the doors alone and let it dry. Surprise! It looked beautiful! I couldn't handle it. I applied 2 more coats to all the doors with this roller. The finish is flawless.

I've been using a Purdy Jumbo Mini Parrot for years to restore wooden boats; paint and varnish. Using a Purdy roller in combination with a Purdy Syntox tip brush was a great combination. They changed production or something, as now the fibers either split into individual strands or into small, bulky pieces, with disastrous results. They should be recalled because they were an amazing product. I don't wash mine; never have. I have used them as disposable rolls for best results.

How much I hate her, let me count the ways. We bought them on the recommendation of a blog to paint our kitchen cabinets. Big mistake. First, I didn't know they needed a special thick new roller. So I had to order these. Secondly, they are not intended for anything other than simple small jobs. If they have creases or corners, like most closet doors and interiors, they won't work.
