Dogs love it for dogs

We have many rescued dogs of different breeds and they all tend to salivate because of Alpo. Two have sensitive skin and tend to flake off certain products. We've tried every brand, organic, grain free, gluten free, you name it. It's just hit or miss with any type of dog food. Fortunately, dogs are happy with Alpo, the cheapest dog food we've tried and it's a brand they can't get enough of.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Cheap but the dog loves it

My dog gave her very expensive dog food/wet food when I first bought her. She never really liked it. And even after a transitional period between different brands, they all seemed to be sickening. Wow, good old Purina Alpo is the only thing she eats that doesn't make her sick. I feed her very expensive kibble to make people laugh, I use Alpo but you know what, she loves it. And I'm following the feeding instructions and she's as healthy as can be.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • No performance

Add with dry food :)

My dog really liked the food and thanks to the "pouring" liquid he stayed hydrated longer. However, after eating it alone, her poop became runny and uncontrollable, I think the water content was too high. I highly recommend mixing kibble with this if your dog is even mildly sensitive. Overall, my dog enjoyed his food more than usual. Note: The can says it has more protein than Purina wet dog food. I'm not so sure about that. The Purina version is completely solid in the tin from top to bottomโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than others

Wow my dog โ€‹โ€‹loves this!

My 14 year old dog has eaten Purina dry food for most of his adult life. He also follows a pasture feeding schedule (no set time, just fill a bowl and he'll eat all day). On a recent visit, my vet found that my dog had lost some weight and had a cyst in his mouth. She recommended walking well with a wet dog, as well as a regular twice-daily feeding schedule. I just bought a 40 lb bag of dry dog food that I didn't want to throw away so I tried adding water but my dog didn't want anything to doโ€ฆ

Lesson learned. Do not order food for your dogs through Revain!

Unfortunately my dogs got very bad diarrhea from this food. I have been feeding her this food (same brand and taste lamb) for probably 3 years now and have NEVER had a problem with this food although I have never ordered her food through Revain but this time I did because I was desperate and needed them asap and couldn't leave the house because of my illnesses. In any case. For some reason these particular cans that I ordered from Revain gave my dogs very bad diarrhea and I've been cleaningโ€ฆ

Pros
  • few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

We have two 80 pound farm dogs that are fed canned food mixed with dry food twice a day. We get good quality pellets that form the basis of their diet (high meat/protein, low veg/carbs, no wheat or corn). Canned foods are mostly added, #1 because they love them and add flavor to the pellets and water, which is also mixed into each feeder bowl. I buy anything that's on sale, 90% of the time it's 22-ounce cans of Pedigree Ground Dinner beef, chicken, bacon, or cheese flavored, usually 36 cans atโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New Competitors
