I bought this product for our portable satellite dish when I was in a camper van. The original product came and was missing the lever that controls the height. I emailed the manufacturer and they replaced the entire stand in two days! And they didn't need me to return the original packaging. As for the tripod, I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I think it will help.

This stand was very light, portable, but unfortunately not very stable. The top platform is made of plastic and folds out into 3 parts, making the platform very wobbly. The projector drifted away from the audio and there was some shaking. With a better top platform there would be a better stand. It is very light (plastic) and folds up small.

I ended up buying two different but similar tripods for my monitor. I bought this tripod because it is light and handy. I like that the installation is very easy (including the bar handle on top). I love that the projector platform folds up and both the stand and platform have their own compartments in the carrying case. Overall it's great, but it's also a bit pricey. In the end I decided to return. I went for a much cheaper, if not as nice model. If it was between $30-$35 I would keep it even…

I bought this to hold a projector and it works great for that. I've since used it to hold my laptop when I'm working from the porch. When typing or moving the touchpad, the shelf wobbles a bit. The tray is not as strong as I would like it to be. But that doesn't stop me from using it as a makeshift laptop desk. I like that the bracket has two slots for the top of the projector and the stand. This will help them avoid falling and scratching. What I like is that it's light, but the topper isn't straight (as you can see in one of the photos). Not sure if this is intentional so it doesn't tip over if you put something heavy on it?
