Skip this option if you have a heavy dynamic or condenser mic!

Suitable for small webcams or microphones with small cameras, but not suitable for professional omnidirectional or condenser microphones, no counterweight, with any massive microphone the stand tips over very easily (samson Q2U/audio technica ATR2020) or any other heavy condenser mic, the cable clamps just broke (both) on first use, the mic mount/threads are plastic not metal so I wouldn't trust mounting an expensive mic to this mount. I wouldn't recommend it if your mic is heavy, for any other

Why do companies make such bad products in the first place?

Just looking for something inexpensive, suitable for home practice but certainly not for performance. The price was right and Pyle is a company that already exists so I think it will be good enough. However, the plastic tie holding the arrow shaft broke in half when I took it out of the plastic bag. Now, with hindsight, I've read all the reviews of similar experiences in the past. Lesson learned: don't just look at the star count, read the reviews. 4 stars? Ha! This begs the question: why would

Cheapest mic stand I've ever bought

I bought this because it was in stock and I needed something urgently. This is the lowest build quality of any stand I've ever bought and I've bought a lot of these. It's very, very light, which sounds like a good thing, but that only makes it more prone to falls. The fittings are cheap, the mechanics sloppy and soft. But the main problem is the non-standard mounting thread! Well, they're actually standard, just not the usual 5/8-27 threads found on most tripods and tripod adapters. It's a 3/8"

You get what you pay for

Works but isn't a high quality mic stand. My local music store had sold out of the mic stands and I needed one for a project. This Pyle had the fastest shipping I could find on Revain so I ordered it. My biggest issue with this stand is that it has a 1/4" threaded mount instead of the standard 5/8"-27 thread. A plastic "adapter" is included, but the threads on my adapter were deformed, so I couldn't use the stand with either standard 5/8"-27 mic clips or mics with built-in mounts. The stand…

Keep moving, this isn't the mic stand you're looking for

I often write that something "does what it's supposed to do" despite the limitations that a low price tag brings. I can't tell this time. It is supposed to support a microphone. This is a microphone stand. It's his job. Hm. I think as an alternative to placing the mic on top of a pile of books and a pillow it will do. HOWEVER, compared to every other mic stand I've used in the last 45 years (round up without exaggerating), IT JUST DON'T LIVE. I use a plastic gun mic designed to be mounted on…

Cons
  • Almost never

None of the pictures show the microphone cable being routed through the cable guides. Perhaps that's because they snap into two pieces when removed for cable management. For less than $20, it's unlikely to be a deal breaker. The price is ridiculously low. Less than $20 delivered to your door. Even though shipping is free for us, it is not free. Negotiate. I'll see if they send me some more flexible plastic mic clips, but oh well. never mind Maybe I shouldn't have tried to take them off before…

Bad Accessory Design

Due to the pandemic I have been teaching choir from home for the past year and am looking for a boom microphone that will allow me some flexibility and mobility in my virtual choir classes. I understand you get what you pay for, but this article doesn't even do it justice. My main concerns: The boom cannot hold a regular SM58 mic without tipping down. I was pretty strong and tightened the screw until my fingers snapped, but the mic kept sagging until it was on the table. Eventually, out of…

Works best with portable dynamic microphones.

so far so good. Unfortunately, when I tried to move one of the cable clamps, it broke in half. I had only unpacked the stand 10 minutes beforehand so that was a bit disappointing. In addition, the stand itself looks high-quality with many adjustment options. For the price I bought it for (just under $20), I'd say it's a pretty good deal. I will say that the tripod arm doesn't feel too supportive and I'm curious if it will actually hold my condenser mic. Time will tell and I'll likely update the
