Worked: Exhausts & Parts

As mentioned, soft metal and easy to remove! I barely tightened and the soft metal of the U-bolt broke off. I was able to use a mount and hanger with a 3" clip that I bought from Auto Zone. Also, the hanger is too small in diameter to fit the factory hanger, so I had to use a collar to fill the gap.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Not the best

heavy construction. The vertical threaded rod continues.

Robust construction. The vertical threaded rod continues to loosen, causing the exhaust pipe to move a lot and risking the nuts loosening. It is very difficult to tighten these nuts on the vertical threaded rod just enough to hold them in place. I will add my second nuts at the top and bottom to try to secure and/or try to tighten them.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Outrageous price

I like the idea in Hangers best

I like the idea but the implementation is missing. This is a very light clamp. I plucked one without even trying. You'll need to upgrade the U-bolt to a larger diameter to handle a little more torque. I also have a vision that this thing will never stay tight and may need to be sealed with red. But it made my universal exhaust hanger silly and easy, reusing OEM hangers and seats with no option to weld stainless steel.

  • Free for educational purposes

Ease of installation into hangers

A few months ago a local muffler shop installed a Gibson SFT muffler on my QX80 aFe exhaust. I went to drain and fill the t-case on my truck and noticed that they forgot to weld the hangar on the inlet side of the muffler. Worked great, simple screw assembly. All I had to do was cut off the extra threaded rod on the hangar after everything was bolted. Some reviews mentioned that the nuts loosen, so I added some red threadlocker just to be safe.

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • Some shortcomings

No problems on Ford F150 2012

Bought to replace the rearmost pipe hanger which rusted in early summer. I had no trouble threading or maintaining a solid connection. It has been installed at least two months ago and although some of the negative product reviews lead me to check the thread tightness regularly, to date I have had no sign of anything loosening. My truck sees a washboard dirt road every day as I leave my rural home for work. No problems so far!

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Installation was easy

I changed the exhaust on my 1970 Chevelle and needed new brackets. I had custom old exhaust brackets welded to the clamps so I had to replace them. The adjustable brackets made the install smoother than any other install I've done. I didn't have to cut anything, weld anything or anything like that. Just adjust the height and tighten the nut. It's better than going to the exhaust shop for something that small. Definitely recommend to anyone who needs a custom tailpipe hanger.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not bad

Great Product: Hanger

Bought a used 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT. The previous owner rebuilt the exhaust (Flowmaster, sounds great) but the straps broke so the pipes were hanging out. I bought some "universal" belts at my local parts store, but as soon as I got hit by a truck I realized they wouldn't work. I wasn't sure about my options, but as I was trying to figure out the best way to go about this, I came across a picture of them and knew immediately it was what I wanted (part of an old hanger that bent piece of metal
