Pyrex 234-PC Red Plastic Lid: Perfect Fit for 4 Quart Oblong Baking Dish Review

Doesn't fit my same Pyrex pan. It's just too small and keeps popping up. I have to pay shipping, that doesn't make me happy!

As other buyers have mentioned the lid was a snug fit but I'll leave the lid on a baking sheet and hope it stretches a bit over time .

I was hoping as some reviews said it would fit their 234-R which I would try. No, it's about an inch shorter. All the other lids I've bought for my old R-series pots fit snugly and snugly with no issues. I tried to return it and found I had to pay for shipping. Turns out it will cost me over $12 to return it, which is more than I paid for it. I guess I get to eat the cost.

Firstly, I have the right pyrex shell for this lid, so that's not a problem. Like many others, this thing just doesn't fit. Some people have suggested just heating it and the lid will stretch and while that works a bit the lid doesn't hold up to the stretch, it just shrinks back. It's a real shame because if the lid were a little bigger it would be a great lid. I'm wondering if the batch wasn't changed to the correct specs.

Despite many reviews complaining about the fit, I took the seller at his word when he said this cap fit the Pyrex and that they might warm up a bit needed to put them on, and then it stretches, making it easier to put on and take off. That's just not true. That does not fit. (It's not a soft, malleable material. It's a hard plastic.) To add insult to injury, the seller expected me to pay for the return shipping.
