Not for new installs

I work in the construction industry and I can tell you this product is not for new installs or thick carpets. This particular kicker does not have an extension to change its length or a tooth adjuster. You will need an extension if you are not of average height. If you have a thick carpet, the teeth are not long enough to "bite" the carpet well. I finally got the job after a long struggle.

Savings option best on welding and soldering

This was my first time using one of these and after a lot of research and watching online videos I decided to stretch my rug myself after I laid the bamboo flooring with my hands next to the existing carpet. The reviews of this product helped me in my purchase decision. It wasn't a big project and this knee trainer was a good economical option. I decided to buy another one and return this one after it arrived because I needed something heavier.

So easy to use and fix loose carpet.

I used this product for the first time to fix a clumpy carpet in my room. Apparently that's very common in Florida. After reading the instructions I actually changed the way I wanted to do it. I tested it in the room where I wanted to clean the carpet. It worked perfectly and I was repaired very quickly. After a test I did it in the room I bought it for and it worked great. Read the instructions! The kicker plate really protects your knees too. You really experience a lot of pulling pressure on

A good solution for us frugal do-it-yourselfers!

Repaired a loose carpet in the dressing room. Stretching carpet for the first time. The stretching got better with some trial and error. I have other spots in the house that need stretching. One of these high-performance stretchers will certainly work much better, but it's a good economical solution. A recommendation for those new to rug stretching with a kicker is to wear jeans or other sturdy long pants. I got an uncomfortable burning sensation in my knee while wearing shorts. Also, the…

You can do it yourself

I needed to stretch a large crease that had formed in the middle of my guest room. The room is approximately 10 feet by 11 feet and has several heavy pieces of furniture. I was worried about how to move heavy furniture out of the room by myself. I've put furniture glides under the legs of heavy furniture and pushed the furniture to one side of the curve. Then I removed the edges of the rug from the tack strip on the opposite side of the folds I had placed the furniture from. I applied the knee…
