Fits like a glove - Replacement parts

Took about 5 minutes to swap out both posts, just remove one and put the new one back in place. Worked on a 2010 GMC Acadia with a power door and now death's door won't fall on your head!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Not enough for shock absorbers, struts and suspension

I bought them in August 2019. You're almost done today. They won't stop a 2008 GMC Acadia truck. Now we need to hold the back door with one hand. Return to the Internet to find the best product.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Fits perfectly on my 2007 Acadia GMC SLT hatch door

The product matched the written description exactly. Fits perfectly on my 2007 Acadia GMC SLT hatch door. In total, the installation of both elevators took five minutes. Very good price!

Failed after just 8 months

We installed them with ease. At first they worked great. I thought we would hit the jackpot by saving money instead of going to the dealer. About 2 weeks ago they started making a lot of noise. Now the tailgate no longer stays open. We bought these on 12/17/2018 and now we need to change the racks as they are out of service again. Hope they last much longer.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Available in white only

Works better now than the day I got the car (2008 GMC Acadia). Easy to install if you have someone tall and strong to hold the gate or something long and strong (2x4 lumber) to support it. I installed them myself and held the gate with my head and when I removed the last post the gate became very heavy as the 2nd post was still doing its job, the first one was bad.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • No

There was a failure within only 3 months.

I bought a set of 2 in January 2019 for my 2012 GMC Acadia. There are good installation videos on YouTube using one vise to hold the overhead gate and replacing the other by moving the clamp with a screwdriver. Don't forget to put some lubricant on the attachment points. The problem is that one failed after only 3 months and both are needed to hold the overhead gate. So now I had to order another set. I probably just got a bad one and hopefully the new ones won't let you down. They fit great…

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Weight
