Premium Quality Alternator by Quality-Built 15694 Review

Arrived and worked fine in my Dodge Durango 07. But things broke too quickly - this part didn't even last 3 years. I had to change the alternator again. Pretty bad performance.

Installed on 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.7L. Works great so far. Easy installation. Use 13mm and 15mm allen wrenches to remove 3 screws. Use a pry bar to remove the old alternator as it will be difficult to pull out by hand. So far no problems and quiet.

Thought this alternator would fit my 2010 Jeep Liberty. The price was good but after a week or so the alternator pulley holding the belt broke causing the serpentine belt to come loose completely. Good thing my son was only 5 minutes from home when he collapsed. I would not recommend this one!

Mixed feelings about this model. It worked very well, but when I received the device, the case was assembled a bit incorrectly. So it doesn't fit the engine. Time was sensitive so I took a chance. When this part arrived I opened the box to find that the plastic snap tie around the zip tie was broken and the rod itself was loose as if it weren't connected to anything. I removed the plastic back cover from my old and new units and found that the hex threaded grommet that holds the cable post was not tightened at all. I was able to tighten it with a wrench and give it proper contact with the conductive plate. I was then able to use the old plastic latch in place of the new broken part. Also
