When I saw this book coming out I was so excited because I loved another book by Carla Sonheim, Mixed Media Paint Lab. There are so many exercises in this book that will surprise you every time. It's definitely great if you're in the mood to draw but don't know what to do. There is an exercise that involves looking for shapes in the cracks in the pavement.
