Cures in the sun. no where else.

This stuff is the bomb if you just have a small ding or gouge. Cures super fast in the sun. I just glob it on then throw a piece of plastic wrap over the area, moving the gel into place/shape it. Has worked like a charm.

Pros
  • Took a long time to completely cure but seems like a strong repair now that it's hardened up.
Cons
  • The epoxy resin may be difficult to remove from surfaces

Nice product to seal dings.

Nice product, but for dings to the epoxy foam you need a filler before layering this on top. I ended up using the whole tube on a silver dollar size ding cleaned out to the epoxy foam core. It kept making bubbles while curing and I had to re-do it several times. Finally used Marinetex to fill the ding then this product on top to seal it. I think Solarez makes the filler as well, but I didn't know I needed it and didn't order it in time.

Pros
  • Used on two boards. Rebuilt the tip on one and loooks great. Solid stuff!!
Cons
  • The kit may not be effective for repairing cracks

Quick and easy fix to Surfboard ding

Worked great fixing a small ding in the side rail. This was my first time repairing an epoxy board but it turn our great and was pretty easy. Solarez epoxy cured slowly enough for me to trim with a blade when soft and hardened nicely to finish sand.

  • The kit may not be able to fix damage to the board's core or foam
