🔧 Quicksilver Water Pump Repair Kit for V-6 and V-8 Powered MerCruiser Stern Drives (Part #: 8M0104229) Review

Arrived quickly and installed with no problems. Worked on my 2005 Centurion Enzo SV230 with Mercruiser 5.7 Black Scorpion.

Product as expected. Works as it should. But it doesn't feel like a year to me. When I checked it the next season, I noticed some cracks. I buy a few of these so I've never had any problems.

Perfect for my Mercruiser Black Scorpion 330hp Pump completely run through, new bearings and seals fitted. Works perfect. Do this before it breaks and binds. Don't ask me how I know this is gonna happen.

Original kit, fits as needed. Used on Bravo 3 seawater pumps which are engine mounted and driven by an accessory belt. It seems that the impeller will never fit in the case if you just do it by hand. Use the zipper trick you can find online and some lube and you'll be fine.

I decided to skip the shop and do it myself on a 2003 Mercruiser with 350 Mag. This impeller was delivered to my door in 3 days and was half the price I would pay at a local marine store. If you take on this project, remove the poly V-belt to access the pump housing and remove the whole thing then you can easily access the impeller, remove the old one and install the new one.

Perfect match for my 2004 Mercruiser 350 Mag. I used some coconut oil to lubricate the inside of the pump housing (not sure if petroleum based oils would ruin the impeller over time). It was very easy to install. Using some force, turn the impeller counter-clockwise (turn left) and be careful not to let the water holes inside the casing cut into the impeller blades.

Great item. perfect for our 1996 Bayliner Ciera with a 2006 Mercruiser 305 inboard gas engine. Have ordered two over the years and will be ordering more! INSTALLATION TIPS: Plenty of Joy detergent all over the impeller. to help it slide into the body. Apply grease to the groove to hold the o-ring in place during installation. Much luck!
