🚗 Chevy Sonic 1.8L 2012-2017 Air Intake Hose | 94537633 Review

Removing the old air intake hose was a hassle (had to cut it off) but this one was pretty easy and seems fine. Even if it only lasts a few years, it was $100 more expensive at the auto parts store!

Looks pretty much the same as the OEM although it has a slightly different design which makes installation easier. Looks solid and after driving the car for a couple of weeks with the new intake hose looks like it will hold up well.

Great hose at an incredible price! Probably better than the factory hose that came with my car. I have a 2014 Chevy Sonic and my intake manifold had a huge crack. I called the dealer, the part was $85. Was looking for a Revain and bought it for only $20. Installs in less than 30 minutes. Simply loosen/tighten the clamps on it. Happy customer!

Wow, that's exactly what I needed for code P0171 on my 2014 1.8 Sonic engine! Only it was a bit tricky to remove the old air duct from the engine side, but it only took me about 30 minutes from start to finish, even in the rain. This item is perfect and not only saved me a trip to the dealer or mechanic but probably saved me over $250!

NOT EXACTLY like the original, the curves are a bit off, but it fits. If I had a 5/16 socket that was the right length, or a short enough extension, everything would be a no-brainer. I liked that the clip on the underside (attached to the throttle body) was angled a little better for easier access, probably a benefit of the mismatched ones. I didn't comment on the durability rating as I just received it. Appears to be made of quality materials.

Installation was much easier than removing the old hose. I watched a few YouTube videos for information on this inlet hose and everything was exactly as the videos said. Removing the old hose is not easy. This is a Chevy technical issue and has nothing to do with the hose. It probably took me 30-45 minutes to finish, but geez, I'm driving to the dealer, which probably would have cost me hundreds of dollars before it was said and done. If there are any problems in the future I will report it.

This product was exactly what I needed to replace a defective factory installed component. Installed a few months ago and still working! The standard air intake hose tore (almost around the entire hose) just above the yoke connecting it to the air intake, causing hard spatter.
