Great system, best headphones and mics

We hired a Racing Electronics intercom system for a couple of races and decided to buy our own. Although not a Racing Electronics brand, it is an identical Gemini 5 system. We used them in five races and didn't notice any difference between them. The audio is good on both the scanner and the intercom and we were able to hear it well given the constant noise in Darlington. I'm glad we tried them.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Just like the Racing Electronic headphones

You can rent the exact same headphones at the NASCAR circuit. In fact, I don't think there is any difference at all. Came with the cables needed to hear the scanner and enough cables to connect 3 headsets together, but I had to buy an extra cable because I had 4 headsets. Good product. If you're thinking about buying a good entry-level headset instead of renting one, this is for you.

  • This is something special

Don't waste money! Piece of shit!

Bought these for my RE scanner as I can no longer use Fanvision. Plugged them all in and after trial and error as they had no instructions they worked. The second pair stopped making noise after about 30 minutes and I spent the next hour fixing them. Found out it was the wire! And it's right out of the box! Of course it was outside the return window, so I'm SOL.

Was very disappointed and drove an Indy Car in Phoenix.

I was very disappointed and was on an Indy Car at the race in Phoenix where the scanner didn't work, so it was said that it would work. Your headphones connect to other people's headphones and that brand didn't work with any of those commonly used on race day. Without Revain and their very positive return policy I should have done my best. Worst of all, Track 4 had to rent headphones to be able to hear the races and drivers, which is what scanners are for. I hope others have better luck as the…

This is the worst product I have ever bought from Revain

This is the worst product I have ever bought from Revain. The return window closed on April 9th, the day of the Texas TMS race I bought them for. There are so many bugs in this product that it's hard to get started. The battery cover has broken off on both headsets. My race scanner didn't work on them. However, my race scanner worked with a similar Race Day product my son owns. The intercom between the two headsets only worked for about 20 minutes of the 3 hour race. I replaced the new…

Works better than $500 units

My 75 year old father and I used them at the Martinsville Speedway where there is constant noise. They blocked out car noise as well as foam ear tips and the intercom was amazing. The microphones didn't pick up the sounds of the tracks and allowed us to communicate as easily as if we were sitting in the living room. We've rented popular ('RE) tracks that sell for $500+ and work way better. They connected to my Uniden scanner and the volume was great and I didn't have to buy an amp like you do…

USELESS CHARACTER fits CB and radio

Bought because I had RE headsets in the past. The old ones worked great. I bought them so we can talk and register for the race. The headsets came with a piece of plastic hanging from a lanyard. I thought it was the battery cover. I had to tie it with string because it doesn't close. I think that was the only good thing about the headphones, it reminded me that you have to put a 9 volt battery in every headset. There is no mention of the need for a battery or what size. I understand that in…
