I make the sauce almost every night and it works so much better than a regular whisk, who would have thought. The handle will seem short, but trust me, it works. I had no idea I would need this, but it's the perfect whisk if you're cooking roux in a deep pan, getting to the edge of the pan where a regular whisk is best for the center, leaving some around the edge, that's it, flour can walk but can't hide lol.

I love the looks and the fact that it's made in the USA, but that's where the good ends for me. This whisk is approximately 9 3/4 inches long with a handle that is only 3 3/4 inches. When I hold a pen, it ends up in the middle of my palm. The end is tough, and after a minute of beating I stopped and grabbed my old whisk.
