This hose assembly is OK at best. It works and helped me get started, but it fits very poorly. The plastic hose crossing the top of the radiator is too short. Due to the fact that the entire assembly is too short and unable to follow the intended hose route. It's cheap enough and works, it just doesn't fit. I will be buying another one to replace it soon!

I was a little skeptical that there might be installation issues based on the reviews here, but I ordered it anyway. I received it today and installed it in about 10 minutes. It fits perfectly. The quality was as good as the original tube it replaced (after 15 years and 233,000 miles). The middle piece of hose was the same length as the original and matched the clamps perfectly. And that's less than half the cost of standard Autozone/Advance replacement parts.

If you have yet to replace this hose on your N54 then this is definitely one to consider as it is so cheap. I made the mistake of not listening to several people's claims that it was thin tubing and had to wait for the tubing before I could ride again. Despite the expectation, it seemed small at first, but it actually fitted perfectly and has been working ever since. The plastic that actually sits between the hoses is very brittle and often cracks over time, so buy something before that…
