Good portable audio/video radios

I got these when I needed/wanted a nice basic radio for jeep driving. They're programmable via a software connection, but I just took them out of the box, charged the battery, and started using them. They worked what I wanted with no issues. It has a belt clip that the entire radio snaps into, which was an interesting feature. If you need a reliable two way radio for basic communications these are perfect for you.

Nice little radio but range not as expected

GM-N1 radios don't have the expected range. After testing, we decided to trade them in for a Baofeng G11S radio from Radioddity. I would like to say that Nora from Radioddity customer service could not have been better, she was extremely supportive. Nora stayed in constant contact via email and accompanied me throughout the exchange process. Thank you for everything you did to make this process smooth.

Good range with good sound transmission

The Radioddity GM-N1 GMRS handheld portable radio comes with two USB power adapters and belt pouches. These radios are very easy to use, changing channels with a simple push of a button. I tested the radio in my area. The range and voice quality are excellent compared to my previous walkie-talkies. There was no background noise or interference with the same clarity as my phone. Ideal for camping or cruising trips. The best pair of radios I have used so far.

Great GMRS handhelds!

Solid construction with many additional functions. So if you are new to this type of radio, you need to learn all the features. Most importantly, it's GMRS, just like General Mobile Radio Service, and you need an FCC license to use it legally. Applying for a license is very easy, directly online. There is another radio service very similar to FRS or Family Radio Service. They don't require a license, but you're limited to lower output power, which means less range. The frequencies are right…

Good form factor and design, short range

These are well made GMRS radios. I like the shape. They are easy to use. The speaker is nice and clear and can get pretty loud. Transmission reports state that the microphone picks up well and transmits clarity. However, they don't fare well at a distance. I compared them to the GMRS mobile radios from Pofung, Retivis and Tidradio. They couldn't go that far. This short antenna does not work as well as the longer ones found on other radios. Extremely Low Noise

I wanted a small GMRS radio to carry in my pocket at home. The radio itself is a nice compact device, but it looks like it's being built with one big problem. The maximum volume is not very loud. The pre-programmed voice prompts are much louder than the voices of other radios that communicate with it. The radio is completely useless if there is no noise around you and the radio is not in your pocket or jacket. There is no contact information in the instructions. Also not included is which…

Good radio but there are a few things you need to know.

First, these are GMRS radios, not FRS radios, so a license is required to legally transmit on them. The radios are quite small for their power (3 watts) and are easy to hold. The antenna is only 1.5 inches long, which can limit range. The radios are pre-programmed with channels 1-22 for simplex (radio) and channels 23-30 for GMRS repeater operation. There is no tone programmed in any of the channels. A 60 second TOT (wait timer) is also pre-programmed, meaning the radio will automatically stop…
