Badly designed. in sports

keeps the cup very bad. There are a few different car mugs that don't fit at all. Too short to have stability. Had it been a more conical design, the cups could have been held in place by friction. But there is nothing to hold the cup in the holder.

I love it! suitable for rowing and sailing

I was able to put a Yeti/Ozark/Rtic can in this item. What I did was take a thin cheap cookie and put it on top of an aluminum vacuum cookie to make it a little bigger. In the end it turned out perfect. Used it to keep a can of cold ice cream on the handlebars all day while cruising through the woods.

  • ideal for a small house

Disappointed for the first time.

I bought this a year ago. I don't think it was included in the kit at the time. But I didn't have any problems with the swivel like others have written. I have several RAM mounts for the camera and various GPS units. Everything works great and lasts for years. I have just received this item and the holes for the U-bolts are not big enough to fit through. I just feel like I have to drill through the base for it to fit. Then I also have unpainted metal after drilling.

Broke after a week - Boot

I like the RAM mounting system but this particular item was very disappointing. A week later the cup holder was gone. In the dark the post came loose and when I got home all I found was the stem on the handlebars. It didn't even contain alcohol. The screw for the second "hinge" point screws into a blind hole, so the only better way to secure it is to screw it in with a bracket, but then you lose the one direction of rotation it should have. I know RAM can do better. A different cup holder…

Durable, but be careful!

Definitely long lasting, but if you don't drink Kuzi you'll have to take it off. The Coozie is too small for a plastic holder and the wind will blow it away and you have to turn and grab it. For the money it could have been better designed and made more comfortable. I won't be returning it but just thought others should know. Update: If you have a water bottle and hit a bump, the U-turn will separate it. It could have been done better. A simple lengthening of the pivot pins is enough to make…

Some great features, some bad!

Love the mount but had two issues with the cup holder. 1. It has a screw that attaches the U-shaped part to the ball part. This screw limits left to right movement when tightened. If it is loosened too tightly while driving, the screw will continue to loosen. 2. If you don't want to put soda cans or other short drinks, please buy another model of this product with an adjustable cup holder. I ended up buying an adjustable cup section to wear in place of this one which is great. The movement is…

Close but not quite.

Considering the price, this should be better. It works as it should, just not very well. Movement along the Y axis is fairly smooth - front to back. Not so much on the x-axis - left to right. The joint that aids the X-axis movement is simply a bolt that goes through two pieces of plastic and is secured with a nut. This creates a fair amount of friction. The nut and bolt must be loosened slightly to allow movement, which creates play. As weight is applied, the drink is applied, more friction is…

Great cup holder

I put this on the steering wheel on a Honda Forza 300 scooter and can put it in a variety of positions. The foam insert allows me to put 160 ounce or 12 ounce soda or water bottles in it. I use a small, short bungee cord with an attached zip tie that is placed in a round loop to fit on the top of the bottle. Use the cap of course and it rides perfectly. When I'm thirsty, I stop, untie the bungee cord, undo the loop of the tie, take off the cap, and drink. The foam insert stays on the bottle…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • flimsy

The screw that holds the C-frame to the ball keeps coming loose (even with factory Loctite on the threads and tightening the screw). In addition, the C-frame cannot rotate around the screw when tightened. It doesn't have to be a screw at all. It should be the shoulder screw. This allows the shoulder screw to be tightened without pinching the C-frame with the mounting ball. It then rotates in 2 axes (as it should and could) making it a true self-leveling drink holder. I spoke to the folks at…
