Ramset Powder Fastening Systems 1524SDP Review

Works fine. Used almost 50 and not a single problem. Just get in and stay in top condition. No big gaps in the concrete like some other brands.

Using red shot I was able to easily sink it through 2 x 4, 1/16 inch metal floor trim and right into the concrete floor. Holds tight and had no problems with either (used 2 boxes)

Very happy with the purchase. I've used about 70 so far and they work every time, penetrating wood and concrete. I'm not an expert as this is my first time using these types of fasteners, but what I've experienced so far has been good.

I needed these pins for my Remington Power Shot which I couldn't find anymore. I didn't want to spend money on a new shotgun when I didn't need to, so I gave this one a try. They worked great and I highly recommend them. They were also 1/3 the price I would normally pay for the Remington brand.

Has a 2 1/2 inch nail but wanted a little longer to hold more securely in concrete. My old .22 pistol goes into the cement, but not quite on a #4 load. Put another smaller charge in the gun, hit the same nail again and you're done. Completely submerge it without buying a new weapon that requires a red charge. Saved some money. I like 3 inches. It just helps a little more.

Tried using them with a Ramset PowerShot and a .22 caliber yellow load. After reading other reviews I hammered a 3" nail about 1" long into a pressure treated 2x4 and after every two tries this caused the nail to bend under the 2x4 and create a small crater in the concrete. I tried a nail alone and just tapped it. nail lightly (not hard at all) and the concrete started to crater. Maybe the concrete is too hard?
