I have received the boot. at Boots & Accessories

I bought a universal steering stabilizer from NAPA but found the NAPA boot was discontinued. So I tried these rancho boots and they fit really well.

Shock boots that save you time and effort.

Very flexible product. The rubber material is of high quality and ensures long-lasting performance. These shock boots can be customized to suit your needs. I installed them on the front fork of my 1985 Honda VF700C Magna which was not designed for shock absorbers. These rubber boots can be cut open and put back together with superglue!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not sure

works perfectly! - Spares

This is a high quality padded boot. Soft rubber compound, no hard plastic. This is a fairly standard size, the lower section snaps easily onto a 2-3 inch diameter shock body. The length is about 12 inches extended, maybe 4 inches compressed. Great value at $4. Zip closure at top and bottom. I also made some ventilation holes on the back of each boot. That works great!

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Zero

Rancho Shock Boots Deal of the Century!

These Rancho cushioning and forked boots are well made and MUST be the DEAL of the century! I actually bought 4 of these to use on my 1982 Suzuki GS850GL bike. I split the first set along one of the molding seams with scissors to keep the cut straight and used a tightened zip tie at the top and bottom of the front fork tubes. In the middle sections I added 3 looser zippers to close the seam a bit but not so tight that it would affect the performance of the fork. The split seam has been…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

super glued and tied the zipper at the top and bottom.

I used them to make cheap fork boots for my 2004 Harley XL. cut one side, pulled on, super taped and zipped up top and bottom and tucked the tie in the 'folds' that have been ridden for over 9,000 miles and show no signs of wear or even fading (and they're in the sun 24th / 7) I'd say I've used/abused them way worse than the shock application they're made for and they've held up great.

Pros
  • SPECIFICATIONS – 9.5 inch metric length.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was some

Can't beat the price and they worked great on my Vmax bike

I've been looking for fork boots for my Vmax 1200 Gen 1 for a week, I have 43 mm fork boots, the tubes are from a later year and they fit with some silicone grease. Like other reviewers, I cropped the slotted bottom to fit a 7.75-inch vertical space. The bottoms are against the fork seal groove but not tight so they don't need to be bled in my application. They look factory made and compare very cheaply to "motorcycle accessory" sets at auction.

Pros
  • BUILT FOR DURABILITY -- Made from durable polyvinyl for durability
Cons
  • Some small things

Shock Absorbers - Spare Parts

This is not an expensive item but it can help in many cases. Whether as a replacement part for the suspension or steering system of a truck or car, or as an addition to an exposed front fork on a motorcycle, these boots get the job done. Unlike the rigid vinyl/plastic blocks of some other manufacturers, these Rancho blocks are well made from a flexible, almost rubbery material. The seams of the shape are aligned and almost invisible. As usual, they come with ny-tie fasteners to secure the ends…

Pros
  • EQUIPMENT INCLUDED - Attaches to shock absorber with zip provided
Cons
  • Slightly torn
