Installing New Rancho Shocks

These replaced the originals on my F250. Easy enough to do. I've seen someone write not to pinch the retaining wire on the shocks as it is a job to push them in to attach the bolt at the bottom. All shocks easily compress ONCE, a little more so twice thrice luck is doable but not very easy to compress. So cut the wire, put on the alligator, fasten it on top and then press on the bottom screw.

Defective/no guarantee

Three months after professional installation, both dampers are leaking like crazy. I tried working with the seller and they claim that factory ground clearance voids my warranty. You are not listed on the Rancho website as an authorized online store. These are the same ranches that come with this truck. 2014 F-250 Super Duty, all in stock. Attention buyers. The salesman immediately fired me like I was converting a truck. The photo shows that there is no elevator and there are no problems with…

works as expected, smooth ride

Arrived as ordered and fairly easy to install. I didn't jack up my truck, unbolted the old ZNX, they snapped. One important note: Do not take the wire holding the damper in a compressed state until you are ready to install. It is an absolute mistake to recompress the shock. I learned my lesson from the first shock. Install the top screw and slowly remove the wire, positioning it for the bottom screw. I used a pair of wire cutters to cut off the top end and pull the wire out. Be sure to tighten…
