Description of πŸš— RS999288 Rancho RS9000XL Shock Absorber

NINE LEVELS OF PERFORMANCE -- Nine-position easy-to-adjust knob allows customized damping control and firmness for on-road and off-road flexibility. DESIGNED FOR HARDWORKING VEHICLES -- Ideal for stock or lifted trucks, SUVs and Jeeps that tow, haul or go off road. INDUSTRY FIRST -- Recognized as the first nine-position manually adjustable shock series in the off-road market. REDUCES FADE -- Nitrogen gas pressurized to 120 PSI to minimize air-to-oil mixture and reduce damping performance fade and foaming. STRONG AND DURABLE -- Features an application-specific 18mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion, double-welded loops at stress areas and 1.25-in. sintered iron piston for enhanced structural integrity. HANDLES EXTREME TEMPERATURE CHANGES -- Up to 2.75-in. tri-tube body (application specific) filled with all-weather fluid allows for cooler operation, increased vehicle control and ability to withstand internal temperatures of -40 to 248Β°F. SMOOTH PERFORMANCE -- Polyurethane rebound bumper and bushings and graphite-filled fluon-banded piston help absorb ride harshness and enhance responsiveness to changing road conditions for an overall smoother ride. BUILT TO LAST -- Low-friction, self-lubricating seal retains gas and oil for quicker rebound and smoother compression while the long-lasting premium liquid metallic finish and polyvinyl protective boot ensures long life.

2500HD now has the feel of an adjustable Cadillac

The 2500HD now has the feel of an adjustable Cadillac. The best low budget mod I've ever made. Can't tell you how great they work.

Trash after 5,000 miles

rocks on the bumps in the road. I took them off and found that one compresses and stretches easily in my hands, while the other offers no resistance on compression and very little resistance on rebound. Both were set to Full Hard (I turned them on when the ride got worse over 5000 miles).

Pros
  • BUILT LONGER – Self-lubricating, low-friction seal retains gas and oil for faster rebound and more consistent compression, while a premium, durable liquid metal coating and polyvinyl skid plate ensure long-lasting durability

Comfortable ride for a 3/4 1 ton truck

They really add rigidity when towing trailers! Also eliminates suspension jerks. When I'm not wearing anything I put them on a softer level and it's like jumping in a half ton truck! A friend of mine who only drives a ton rode it once and said you might need new dampers, they are pretty soft. I told him it was like that. I said if you want your ride to be like a kart without shock absorbers just leave it at 9 lol. After that he said he was going to get something for his truck! My truck is a…

Should have done this sooner

I bought four of these for my 2004 Chevy 2500 HD and installed. I have a mileage of 110,000 km. What an amazing difference! I wish I had thought about this earlier. The dampers soak up all the little bumps and vibrations I'm used to. Installation was fairly easy, the first taking about an hour and a half and the second probably thirty minutes. I left the dampers in the middle position for the time being and am happy with that. If you want to save some money you can get 5000. Ride quality in the
