I made a microscope out of it.

I was given this camera to work on a microscope so being able to remove the lens was important to me. I bought two cheaper Pi cameras but neither of them had detachable lenses and I ended up breaking them trying to remove the lens. When I removed the lens that came with the kit and added a 10x DIN tube I could see the bulb, core and all. If you want it for the lens it's not great, but you can buy additional lenses and the sensor is fine. This worked for what I needed.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Near Perfect Night Vision

I used the official Raspberry Pi v2 camera in my Quest project, but it needed near perfect lighting conditions to get a decent picture. The photo posted in my review was taken with no corrections in a 100% black room with no windows. That's great. The only assembly required is to screw the 2 UV lamps to the sides (screws included). The camera connects to any Pi (the ribbon connector is fully reset to the original Pi). From there, all you have to do is enable the camera interface in the…

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Fix

Works great, replaces my Raspi 3+ on a plug and play basis.

Works great and replaces my Raspi 3+ home security camera which is also great but has too narrow a field of view. I see the same quality of detail, but it just covers a little more area.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Expensive

Very cool 1080p camera

I love that this camera is 1080p. This makes it ideal for editing footage in my YouTube videos and the like. I used the original Pi Camera but it had a weird aspect ratio. The fact that this TV matches a regular TV made it a winner for me. I noticed someone said it can't be focused, which isn't true. Not only can it be focused by turning the threaded lens, but you can also exchange this cover for other filters and effects. I really like the fisheye effect. I wanted it to mimic a CCTV camera in…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Has decent quality and works well with Raspberry Pi.

Has decent quality and works well with raspberry pi in onvif mode. The only reason I removed the star is because I thought it was a fisheye camera that will have a 120 degree viewing angle.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Some bugs
