works as advertised

One problem, however, was that there were no instructions on how to snap the hook and ring to fully seat on the elastic cord. Squeezing the slip ring onto the hook worked, but I wasn't sure the connection would hold under load. I fixed this issue by using channel locking pliers to join the two pieces together, which immediately fixed the gap issue. Therefore, to facilitate the installation, it is essential to use pliers to properly align the two parts.

They seem to work well when you can wear them

They seem to work well when you can wear them. Gun + 7mm allen wrench to widen the hole a bit, then tape the end of the cord tightly so I can screw in the hook and finally I use two pairs of pliers on each side to thread the retaining ring onto the hook to push. The effort may depend on the cord you have. I think if you want a clean look it's worth the effort, otherwise I'd just go with hooks where you just slide them over the cord and tie a knot at the end.

Really good product!

A little tricky to put on the cap with the elastic cord in the hole but I used some zippers and it worked great! So apart from that they are amazing. stay well I used them with string to make cordons on the sides of my Jeep Wrangler so my dogs don't jump out when they see the rabbits in the desert. Much cheaper than a cargo net and just as effective for my purpose. Plan to buy more. As I said, if it wasn't for the stiffness limit I would give them 5 stars. I'm a soft handed woman so I can be…

great little hook on end

I used these as an end hook on a 1/4" bungee cord to attach a flower box to my 1x6" balcony railing. bright . just cut the cord at right angles (I cut with hot rope scissors, bad smell) put the collar around the cord, put the cord in the hook, put the yoke back on the hook with pliers. The small triangles on the hook mount dig into the bungee cord and hold it in place. Good invention. makes a very clean finish. better than tying a stop knot on the line or using "boar rings". I haven't tried the

Perfect for 1/4 " lash line

They are better made than most hooks available. The clamping mechanism is stronger (more plastic) and will hopefully hold up better. The end of the elastic will need to be melted in a small flame to make sure it doesn't come loose from the threads. Then place the plastic ring on the cord and insert the end of the cord into the hook, making sure you insert it all the way in. It was easier for me to use the slider Install the plastic retaining ring with needle nose pliers to squeeze the retaining

Good and easy to use hooks

The elastic cord in my new camper used hooks like this. I liked that they are small and clean. I have found that additional non-standard length cables are needed. I found these FMS hooks that looked exactly like the ones on the original line. The FMS hooks are well made and very easy to attach. Simply insert the end of the cord into the base of the hook and slide the collar over the base. Two teeth dig into the cord to secure it. You will likely need to use pliers to get the collar fully in…

Handy little hooks for making custom length guy ropes

Delivery from Frontier Market Solutions was quick. The hooks are suitable for plastic and the cord is securely fixed. I used a 1/4" shock cable, which fits snugly in the barrel without loosening. Another review suggested this would be difficult in the field. I can't disagree, but it doesn't matter as long as you don't expect to make them without tools or pliers. I used channel blocking pliers to start the compression sleeve and finish with the tool used to assemble the compression fittings…
