A game of chance with unreliable components

Game: If you like games of chance then this game is for you. Unless. ... and even if so, please read my review. Dice are the main component of this game and there isn't as much strategy as people assume. The gameplay is exactly the same whether you play solo or with 4 players. You can play with 10 players and not change your thought process. There aren't many ways to block other players or anything like that. Even with multiple players, this is a very single player game. The whole strategy…

At first glance, nothing about this game appeals to me

A quick overview of what you get with this game: - cheap cardboard components with shiny skinny mats for skinny players, he's hungry - two-tone sixes - Side dice are a central part of the game and are used to determine your possible actions with your flip salad, so serious it's a virtual dotted salad bar - awkward to set up and difficult to put away. So I accidentally gave five stars? no The Castles of Burgundy is one of my absolute favorite games. I'm always ready to play this game. It doesn't

Small, fast, fun adaptation of the original game

My family (four ages 10-40) and I have played this game 6-8 times since we got it and we love it. The box itself is small, making it easy to carry and likely to fit in most jacket pockets. The game's components are simple but of decent quality, the instructions are fine (including examples so you understand how everything works), and the game takes around 15 minutes if everyone knows the rules. I also like that there is no cap on the number of players. Sure, the box says it will play up to 5…

The image of the euro game in the dictionary

Burgundy castles - the image of the euro game in the dictionary. You will not like the theme and design, but if you like any strategy, you will be addicted to play. You get a lot of points; Everything you do earns you points or gets you closer to points. You roll to perform actions; Place tiles, ship goods and compete with all other players for the best options on the shared board. Castles of Burgundy is a great example of how awesome game mechanics can trump art style, no matter how boring it…

Great Compact Deck with Amazing Single Variant

INTRODUCTION: A fun and compact deck with lots of scoring options, the Castles of Burgundy deck doesn't disappoint. So far I've only had the opportunity to play single player games, but I've really enjoyed them. The games are always pretty close and sometimes you really have to use your thinking skills to get through to the next round. Overall this is a solid game and I'm hoping to try the multiplayer mode sometime in the near future. CUSTOMIZATION: At first glance, setup can seem quite…
