I'm actually pleasantly surprised by these shelves. My only complaint about them is that they are a bit small for cats over 10 pounds. My 13 kilos. Although the cat doesn't care. It's still climbing and sitting on the shelves. It fits them quite well, it just doesn't have as much room as other things I buy for him (I usually buy things for a medium sized dog). Otherwise, these shelves are easy to install and surprisingly strong. I used the anchors provided and the shelves held up pretty well. I

A well made product that only gets 2 stars because the manufacturer didn't state that these wall mounts are only really good for kittens. My four adult cats have nothing to do with these "ladders" because they have nowhere to lie on them. The product is simply useless if the cat can only use the steps to "ride" and cannot stop and linger while going up. UPDATE: Well 2 years later and they are in very good condition! Hubby made 1 adjustment and we attached it to a painted 2x4 that was wall mounted on the sides of the window. We bought a set to see if our dirty cat would like them. I also wanted to see if she would climb a pole covered in sisal (jute) ropes - these are the 8ft cardboard rugs that the rugs come on so you can get them for free. I hot glued the sisal (burned all my frigging fingers) then we attached it to the wall on the first floor of our 3 story house.
