I've tried several knife sharpeners over the years and looked at several systems before buying another. I don't think it can be beat for the price. I'm not too attached to corners. I've been hand sharpening a lot and feel like I can get close to 18 and 16 degrees. I know there are other stone-based sharpening systems that will probably do a 'better' and more precise job, but it will take you hours and hours to make all your kitchen knives. This thing makes the knife very sharp, fast, very fast.

I ruined my grinding wheel to the right of the bit with too much wax. I was able to save it by burning off the wax with a candle lighter. Anyhow, the instructions are clear and to the point, including detailed information on regrinding the wheels and sharpening tips (although not too much detail on the amount of wax/lapping paste).
