True Reading: Toilets & Parts

If you own a caravan, this is the answer to reading the tank properly. Use them in my RV and family friends use them too. Good product.

Do not overtighten

Be careful not to align the transducer when tightening. Don't overdo it. Installation is much easier if you give it a few turns BEFORE inserting it into the installation hole.

Fixed readings of my tank

This product works as advertised. The probes are kept far enough from the tank wall to avoid false readings caused by condensation or splashing. Aside from that, you can achieve the same result with a rubber grommet, two nuts, a nylon spacer tube, and a 1/8 inch stainless steel rod. But it's good for a ready solution.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Installation could be easier

I bought 3 packs or 12 sensors. When I saw the picture it turned out that there was a slot in the tip of the metal rod so a small screwdriver could hold the probe while the nut was tightened; smart yes NOT CORRECT!. There is a notch to show which side is down but no slot. As expected, the entire probe rotates as the nut is tightened. I couldn't hold the threaded shaft tight enough with my fingers to keep the entire probe from rotating. So I used a small pair of pliers to hold the stem, damaging
