Works for my dehumidifier

I had a Santa Fe 2 compact dehumidifier that seemed to need a refill every year regardless of the brand of sealant I used - right down to Rector Seal . It was two summers and one winter and the dehumidifier didn't need to be charged.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Worth every penny! for air conditioning line repair tools

At around $70 an ounce, it's quite expensive, but worth every penny. My fridge was leaking R134A and the mechanic said it would cost between $1200 and $1500 to fix. I bought it with a puncture valve, hose/gauge and R134A can for about $65 and repaired it myself. I highly recommend this product. Thanks very much!

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • weak

So far this has worked.

I have used this product in a freezer. The freezer loses freon every year and we have to add freon to keep it cold. We've had it for about 6 months and it's still blowing cold. I will update this review if anything changes but for now it works as intended and fixes any holes our lines had.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Running temporarily about 8 weeks

I bought this to prevent the freon from leaking out of the fridge. I injected it and charged the system. It worked, but only for 8 weeks. So if you need a "temporary" (but expensive) fix, you can try this as a troubleshooting tool to find out you have a DIY leak, but it costs about $50. Buy a new 5-year all-inclusive fridge with free shipping and have your old fridge removed for £838. As I said, this might help you until your new fridge is in there. However, do not rely on permanent repairs as…

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Availability for replacement

I have a large wine cooler that runs out of juice (5 ounces) in less than 7 days. I charged the system about 5 times before I found this product. A bit pricey but I can say it worked. I had to charge the system 2 times after using this product. But since the last charge it has lasted more than 3 weeks. I didn't find it dirty at all. Simply deflate the hose, connect to the bottom and squeeze. I just assumed the company knew there was 1/4 of the product left in the tube and added an extra amount…

Pros
  • Good product for the price

Worked great and saved me $1,800

I bought this a few months ago because my expensive side-by-side refrigerator was leaking all the refrigerant. I spent $250 to have a mechanic come and add a valve and an ounce of refrigerant to the compressor. After three more leaks (and learning how to use the car refueling kit) I gave it a try. To my surprise it worked! It has held a charge for months and has saved me from having to replace an $1,800 refrigerator that is only 5 years old. This stuff is pretty messy if you don't know how to…

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • No instructions

Stay away from this product if you have an R410a system! It should be understood that it will work with any freon that can apply to the sealant, but not to the tool. Fitting was easy enough, but the crimp connection from the low pressure AC connector to the hose just isn't up to the task at R410a pressure, despite the instructions saying it can be used in systems with suction pressures in excess of 100psi. this is R410a. does. Instructions recommend using a caulking gun to inject contents into…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

bad for small fridges.

I have an under cabinet wine cooler with a leak that holds 1.4 oz 134a. I charged it and it stayed cool for about 2 weeks before getting hot again. It's 1/2 ounce, the instructions say don't use more than 10% of the system's total charge, which is just over 1/8 ounce, or about 1/4 of a vial. This may work if your system uses 3.75-5 ounces of coolant (because 1/4 of the product stays in the supply hose), but otherwise. Here are the problems. It's messy, difficult to control, and doesn't even…
