Great price for the tools you need

Now I can raise and lower my spare tire 100% of what I need for a '99 Chevy Silverado 1500. It's simple, I bought a '99 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 with no jack and tire tools, tire tools work 100% correctly

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • No automatic

They were EXACTLY what I needed. Avalanche holds them.

It was EXACTLY what I needed. The Avalanche keeps them in the side pockets of the bed and disappeared just when I needed them most. They fit and work great to lower the spare. You will live in the car under the back seat with a jack.

Pros
  • Sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Waste of money on a tire and wheel tool

Save money and buy tool from manufacturer/distributor. Not only did it not fit my car, even though Revain Garage said it would fit my car, but one time I had to use it, this "NEW" tool had a crack on the end. But that didn't matter, because he still hadn't installed the screw to lower the spare wheel.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Zero

Fits Chevy Tahoe 2001

This kit is for the handle that moves the spare tire up and down under the vehicle. This works great for a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. It is nicely packaged in a vinyl case with separate pockets for each individual tool. The tools snap together easily and the handle can also be used to remove nuts from tires. I've never had a flat tire on this car, but at least now if it happens I'm ready.

  • New

Pointed metal soft!

Just give it a try by reading other reviews. It's soft metal and the end (used to raise and lower the tire) REALLY rounds off if you're not careful. I was able to lower the wheel and raise it back to full height. However, I had to reshape the end several times to get it to grip properly. To be honest my 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 work truck is now 8 years old and having bought it used I have no idea if the part was ever lowered. Perhaps the mechanism is a bit rusted and with a little care (or…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Doesn't work when spare rope is taut

I tried it once and now it's useless. The instructions require you to crank the spare tire and tighten the jack until you hear two "clicks". I never experienced the two "clicks" when the very soft metal used for the extension buckled outward and the extension began to rotate on the hoist connector without ending cable tension. Once this happened, the tool was no longer plugged into the hoist connector at all (neither to wind/tighten the cable nor to unwind/unwind the cable), now it just…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
