💪 Efficient and Durable: Red Lion 14942402 Submersible Deep Well Pump Review

I am very happy with the device I chose for my shallow well. My well is about 48 feet deep and I have water up to 6 feet below the surface. My old system was a jet pump which was noisy to say the least. This submersible was a small 1/2 hp 230 VAC unit. It works perfectly. The well I put it in was drilled 20 years ago and never developed, so I had to run it continuously for several days to rid it of all debris and potential bacteria. It has been running continuously for 7 days now and the pressure test is as good today as it was the day it was installed. The Canadian company is very responsive to questions and has a knowledgeable person to speak to without having to navigate a lengthy call tree.

Do not buy this pump. Save your money and hit the lows. Bought the pump nine months ago. If only it were installed. And it only lasted 9 months. My previous pump lasted over ten years in a family of 6. They called because the factory warranty is 3 years. Covered. They said they would be waiting for a van on the 6th. Easy to install, smaller than the same spec pump I had. I would give it 5 stars but it's a bit louder than the Myers pump I had. It's okay if your fountain is far from home. This was exactly the pump I needed for my application. The quality looks very good. It comes with a waterproof splice kit! (Observe the instructions and close with a rubber band) Not listed in the description! The wires were long, properly stripped and soldered into the pump motor. The problem with reviewing this product is that it should last ten years in my well (the last one lasted over 20 years). I installed it and it works. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a splicing kit. However, the last pump I had had built in wire (came with 200 feet of wire) so it didn't even require splicing.
