Red Sea Coralline Gro Supplement Review

I have used this as a buffer additive in all my aquariums with minimal coral growth. It appears to buffer PH with little long term effect on KH. However, like other buffering additives, it only raises the PH for a short period of time. I use it regularly and also dose Part B of the Red Sea Foundation (for ALK) with occasional KH boosts.

Works great for coral growth All of my live rocks, frag plugs and the back glass of my tank are now almost completely covered with coral. I've tried other products with very little growth after a month, this stuff started showing growth all over the place within a month, definitely worth the money to get the tank up and running quickly.

I don't know what base chemistry this additive is for because this additive fails instantly in my large reef tank and nano tank. I get lots of little white spots floating around and probably very little to dissolve in the solution. I also tried this in both tanks after a big water change to get the reef water close to ideal. This still results in heavy rains. I have not noticed any increase in coralline algae growth.

The Red Sea is a great product. I have been using their supplements for a while and recently purchased the Nano Max. I call it "Purple Up", maybe that's the name of another product, but it does for the tank. I've used it on several systems including this new aquarium, coral algae are decreasing.
