I have 4 of these and after reading the reviews I decided to tweak them a bit. I dipped each in Minwax paint down to the bristles and let them soak for a bit. After drying for 24 hours I rubbed off as many stains as possible and then waxed them with Minwax. Gave 3 away and kept one for myself. After 4 months no one has developed the mold that some are complaining about and still no chips or breakage.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Bad Instructions

Good washcloths! - Brushes

UPDATED: BOTH these scrubbers have fallen apart and are only about 3 months old. I assume they aren't meant to be used with water or daily, or maybe not at all? I think I will have to do without buying these washers again. Requesting a replacement every 3-4 months is too common. The first began to fall apart after just a few uses, mostly as a nail brush and only occasionally for cleaning an unruly pot or pan.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Flaws

The bristles are too hard to wash dishes

This product is very well made and I really appreciate its naturalness compared to a plastic brush, but if you like it you need this brush for washing dishes, think again. Its bristles are so coarse and hard that it becomes very difficult to wash simple plates and cups. Look for the same thing with medium bristles. This would be a great brush for tricky jobs like cleaning the tub, wiping dirt off your shoes, etc.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine

Treat handle before use

Brushes must be treated before use or they will stretch and break. I have applied mineral oil and will continue to do so if necessary. The seller does not provide this information on the packaging or in the description. Aside from this issue, the brushes work as expected. Of course some of the bristles will fall out during use. I would recommend letting the brush dry between uses to extend its life. The seller does not respond to messages even though they sent an email asking how I feel about…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Nothing

Very stiff bristles

The bristles are much stiffer than I expected, like wild boar hair. I'm not sure I'll be using them on my ceramic coated Greenpan cookware, but they're very effective on my stainless steel pan and the dried bits on my plates. The wooden handle cracked in several places after just a few uses. I keep it away from heat and let it air dry after each use. The bristles haven't fallen out yet, but that's only a matter of time. I love the biodegradable natural materials and the aesthetics of this…

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Durable and perfect for condiment cookware

We've used them on our cast iron skillet, paella pan, steel wok and other condiment cookware. They're great, just the right amount of abrasiveness. We've been using the same one for several months and it's still working and I'm only seeing wear and tear on the bristles. The wood is slightly discolored, but not critical. It doesn't smell or mold, what can I say. I keep it in a small bowl with drainage and bristles between uses. Much more durable than plastic brushes and I love that I can use it…

Excellent brushes. One broke after 4 uses.

These are great little brushes for cleaning my carbon steel and cast iron pans. You'll get most of the stuck parts out of the pan without much trouble. I like them because I don't mess up my regular kitchen brush and they have much stiffer bristles than regular brushes. My only complaint, like many others here, is that the handle of one of my brushes cracked after a week of use. I used it and then dried it, never soaked it in water. I'm not sure how to prevent this, but I would like to know…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Long

Scrubs veggies like no other!

Great quality product that is so hard to find online (too much cheap crap). Clearly Made in Germany - very durable and cleans vegetables like no other! Will order more before they run out. Love that they stand upright when not in use so can air dry - brilliant! No more slouching with the rounded handle. Oh! And the bristles are super rough, tough, which I like when I'm cleaning something. Not weak. My other bamboo scraper has horsehair and the bristles are all separate and don't bunch up like…

I love her! in Household Items

Let me explain. There is only one thing on this planet that never mixes with H2O other than oil and that is wood. In the days of wooden warships, many Napoleonic naval ships, like the English, went into battle with rotted hulls because the wood began to rot when they were finished building; and as their sole purpose was the use of cannon, they set sail in spite of everything, knowing that the probability of drowning was very high. Enter the twentieth century with the introduction of boat epoxy…
